The orientation had some good points in it like meeting everyone in the building, but the bad outweighed the good. The whole training department was so condescending and passive aggressive, they talk down to you as if you're a child. If you refused you could get written up or they would be so upset with you that they would talk behind your back or give you a dirty look. You had no choice but to partake in the activities.
Im not the type of person to public speak, so this was triggering for my anxiety, and I did not like it all. Its almost like a "let's embarras them so they wouldn't think of trying to be late again". The reason of the skit was not to just inform us but to embarrass us into thinking back to the skit and reflect about how we felt while doing it. So we had to make a skit about what we can do to be on time and how we had to be mindful of adherence, but we had to perform the skit that we created in front of all the mangers from all the departments in the corporate office. What troubled me was a skit that we had to do in front of all the managers, including my own. They center the orientation around meeting the top people there and meeting with the ceo and everyone in between, it's very open in that aspect. I have never felt more embarrassed in my life.
